The more active members of the dance group regularly accept invitations, whether it’s a performance at a Hungarian school in England, a corporate event, or a cultural occasion.
With a rich repertoire, they embrace the diverse world of Hungarian folk-dance, from the characteristic dances of various regions to lesser-known couple and group dances.
In 2017, the group received a special honour: they were invited to the United Kingdom’s largest charity festival, CarFest and GobéFest.
Additionally, they represented Hungary and Hungarian culture at numerous international festivals, contributing to the global recognition of our traditions.
In the four-day residential camp, participants can learn various dances from renowned professional instructors and forge new friendships with dance enthusiasts coming from different parts of England.
The Hungarian Folk-Dance Camp in England was created based on the vision of Boldizsár Acsai, modelled on Transylvanian dance camps, aiming to deepen traditions and build community.
The unique Hungarian dance house method originating from Transylvania was included in the Hungarikum Collection on January 31, 2013. This cultural treasure is listed among the best practices for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage, maintained by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
